NARFE
Premier FCU was chartered in
1935 as a not for profit financial institution. Originally, the credit union
served the employees and family members of the U.S. Civil Service Commission
(now the Office of Personnel Management) and was called U.S. Civil Service
Employees Federal Credit Union. Over the years several federal agencies have
been added to the credit union charter, as well as many private sector groups.
In 1982 both the National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) members
as well as, "Persons retired as pensioners or annuitants from the United States
Civil Service" were added to the charter of
NARFE Premier Federal Credit
Union. Since that time the credit union has provided full financial services for
these members.
Your savings are federally
insured through the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) to at least
$100,000 and backed by full faith and credit of the United States Government.
All federal retirees, paid out of OPM, are eligible for membership with
NARFE Premier FCU and have access to our multitude of services. We have expanded to meet the needs of our members and to fulfill our mission to be their primary financial institution. We hope to
be your primary financial institution as well.
